General Admission Requirements:

  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 20 years old.
  • Christian Character: Must show evidence of sound Christian character and a call of God to ministry.
  • Church Recommendation: Must be recommended by their church, senior pastor, or mentor.
  • Entrance Exam: Must pass an entrance examination or personal interview.
  • Academic Requirements: Must meet all academic criteria as outlined by the College.

Application Process:

Apply online through the Seminary's official website. All SSCE results are accepted including GCSE, provided the required subjects are credited. Awaiting results are accepted, but must be presented during clearance.

Basic Requirements for Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's Programs:

  • Minimum of five (5) credits including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Relevant certificates from recognized institutions are an added advantage.

Direct Entry:

Holders of a first degree in any discipline may be considered for direct entry and could complete the Bachelor's program within two (2) years.

Master’s Program Admission:

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in religion or theology (minimum of second-class) from a recognized university, seminary, or institution accredited by ACTEA or equivalent bodies.
  • Required Documents:
    • Official transcripts from previous institutions
    • 2–3 recommendation letters
    • Personal statement/statement of purpose
    • Writing sample or academic paper
    • Interview (where applicable)
  • Language: Some programs may require knowledge of Greek, Hebrew, or Latin.

Program Duration: 1½ to 2 years full-time (Minimum of 60 credits). Admission is open all year round. Candidates with non-theological degrees may be admitted into MA in Systematic Theology, Christian Education, or Master of Divinity programs. Bachelor’s in Education is an added advantage for MA in Christian Education.

Doctoral Program (Th.D. / Ph.D.):

  • Academic: Must hold a Master’s in Theology, Divinity, or Ministry.
  • Experience: At least three (3) years of ministry experience. Ordination/licensure may be required.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Transcripts and letters of recommendation
    • CV/Resume showing academic and ministry experience
    • Theological essay (500–1000 words)
    • Interview (virtual or phone)
  • Program Duration: 2½ to 3 years (30–60 credits minimum)

Other Postgraduate Programs (Non-Theology):

For programs like Human Resource Management, Philosophy, Educational Psychology, or Guidance & Counselling, candidates must hold a first degree in the related field or begin with a PGD program before advancing to MA or PhD levels.
